Amanda Ellington, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with Lake Charles Memorial Health System.
Dr. Ellington graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University. She went on to achieve her medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Her post-graduate training includes an internship and residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport.
She is skilled in minimally invasive laparoscopic and life-enhancing robotic surgical procedures, and she is an expert in breast cancer and surgical breast disease.
As Director of the High Risk Breast Clinic at Lake Charles Memorial Health System, Dr. Ellington has helped hundreds of women diagnosed with breast cancer through their health journey and on to a successful outcome.
